Perched atop my steed wearing only extremely skimpy underwear I see the approach of an evil looking black tail finned beast of a car. Fury rears but I hold on tight as the vehicle skids over gravel before halting , the door flies open and from it appears a creature in matching black , Dave Thompson aka ' the bus driver'. Aka Luana's Black Reptiles.
Fast forward thirty years and more modestly attired I find myself lip synching in his kitchen for a music video he creates for the band I perform with , we drink strong coffee , discuss music , our tastes for early Roxy Music and Robert Fripp give us common ground , a collaboration is mooted and percolates for a number of months before the man in black presents me with tracks he recorded decades ago ' now is their time!' we decide.
