about

Paths to the shore, is collection of somewhat incongruous tracks, within which there is no theme nor any discernible meaning or purpose other than the enjoyment it gave me working them up from initial ideas to finished products. Above everything, the album marks a line being drawn under these tracks as I move on in hopefully new and exciting directions. I’m one half of both Stereopod and The Screaming Love Collective and look forward to being part of these projects again, as well as being a solo project.

Any and all money accrued through sales of this album will go towards the first base food bank in Dumfries.

Thanks and Hello.

First of all, my wonderful daughter Alba, who at five years old knows categorically how life should be lived. Also love to my Family, My Dad and Angela, My dearly departed Mum, my siblings, Siobhan, John, Peter, Martin, Ross and Erin. Thank you to Bob and Ian at German Shepherd Records who, with their ever growing network, try really hard on no budget to get diverse musical talent out there. Thanks to Bryn Thorburn and Mark Thomson, my co conspirators at The SLC and Stereopod, respectfully. Brad Cain, the man on a mountain and pilot of the “soundtrack to infinity” Thank you Tara, Jamie and Novantae, Dr, Andy, Midge, Moose, Hammy, Shades, Buzz, Nelly and the Lads, Bilbo (probably the funniest man I’ve ever met, last I knew he was in Africa trying desperately not to catch STDs) Christine, Al Price, Vyper, Phil Shaw, Jim and Mary Telfer, Rob McAuley, Katy Ewing, Katriona, AshyCat, Shortty, Lewis Fergusson, John Johnstone, Stuart Paterson, Jeanette, Sarah Daisy, Boston, Rubic, Chips, Lisa McKie, Marsha and Davie Durok, Eggo, Robbie K. wherever the hell you might be, Ian, Davey P, Leo, Snakes, Tony Bajwa, Ali K and all the boys from the mount (good times), and The Scottish Pantry in Castle Douglas for feeding me daily with bacon rolls and tea(pay them a visit).

To all those I inadvertently wronged – I’m sorry.
Everyone else, you probably deserved it so suck it up.

Peace
