26 singles or EPs plus three spoken word albums have been released outside of my commitments to the Hamsters, still I had a lot I wanted to get off my chest and with the invaluable help of my collaborators that has been done.
I don't pretend that every release has worked as well as I'd have wished , time and financial constraints often hinder that objective , but each release has carried a sense of honesty which I hope has been evident.
I appreciate because of the relentless pace of the releases some have slipped through the net so to speak , in light of that I have compiled this selection of what I believe to be some of the high points of my releases this year ,
Ian Moss/ Ion Morph
Go for the Throat
A garage punk stomper from Loop and a lyric of vicious intent from an aggrieved vocalist
Body bag dub
To work with Moff Skelington was a pleasure indeed , this was a playful look at our mutual health difficulties
A disjointed rumbling suggesting a train stopping and starting
An image of a sanctimonious fool in full flow and my resulting thought process
Check out the Tsunami
Tick that Box !
The prodigiously talented Johaan Kloos provides a wonderful cheery backing for this rant about exploitation
Modal is an artist who likes to have fun as he creates , he led me through an enchanted land to arrive at this
My favourite Kill Pretty song re imagined
Great credit to Space museum for the success of this track
Attempted in a band setting several times to little avail , finally this approach brought out the noir sensibilities of the piece
Squares and Straights
Casting a jaundiced eye over past acquaintances
I am the storm
A vengeful voice from the gathering heavy clouds
Into the outback with Moff !
A woeful true tale of being violated the modern way
A true tale of an early morning encounter in Gothenburg,
Guts spilling on the sterile wooden floor
I wish I was a fish
A jumble of images and phrases that came to me sat outside a criminal court
The abominable Tim Bruishead called out , my blood boils !
